Comprehensive Community Care
Currently, Los Angeles County
Department of Mental Health is undergoing a redesign process to develop a
mental health delivery system that is client/family focused, Comprehensive
Community Care (CCC).
There are eight Special Initiatives (pilot projects)
being implemented at different levels of care within the Department of
Mental Health and the mental health community.
As part of “CCC”, the Hollywood Mental Health
Center is implementing Older Adult Case Management services.
Services
Often aging older adults find
it difficult to obtain needed services, especially when suffering from
mental illness.
The development or complication of some mental disorders during
late life can be successfully treated.
The goal of the Hollywood Mental Health
Center Older Adult Case Management is to provide direct mental
health services to elderly clients through supportive therapy, assessment,
care coordination and advocacy.
Anyone age
60 or older, mentally ill (includes anxiety, depression,
schizophrenia and other psychiatric disorders) and residing
within zip codes 90028 or 90038 seeking assisting may contact
us Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at
(213) 769-6100.
