More than a house-call, the mobile medical service offers in-home medical care, which includes:

Physicians and Medical Personnel

Jacob Flores, M.D., specializing in Geriatric and Emergency Medicine for the past eight years, is Medical Director of Mobile Medicine Outreach.

This new program was launched in the Los Angeles area in February 2002 with 11 physicians specializing in Mobile Medicine. The physicians are accompanied by residents of UCLA Harbor School of Medicine as part of a teaching program focused on Home Health Care. Medical Technicians are also part of the team to perform tests as needed.

Insurance

As of February 2002, patients who qualify for Medicare Part B are eligible for the service. 

Currently the program will take medical/Medicare and secondary insurance. HMO's are not being considered at this point.
