The Multipurpose Senior
Centers (MSC) are the primary source of
assistance for Seniors and their families. The MSCs are selected and funded by the City or the
County Department of Aging. These community-based agencies have the resources and
expertise to assess the needs of seniors.
If you are trying to solve a problem, the MSC Case Manager is an expert
who has probably encountered a similar situation before. Because the MSCs are community-based, they are familiar with
other local
agencies serving seniors. MSCs usually do not have commercial ties and may
give you a sincere referral based on their experience with the agency.
